Remember when we were young and we would think there are actual monsters under the bed? Trust me, there are fully-grown adults who havenβt gotten past that. They can just never let their feet hang off the bed; the thought of some βmonsterβ grabbing their feet and dragging them under to devour them still lingers in their mind. Crazy! βBeen told the monsters are actually in our heads, not under the bed. Donβt know.
I have this Tuesday night for free, since tomorrowβs a holiday, so why not scribble something.
So I watched the Netflix movie Divergent a couple weekβs back and it got me thinking of my fears.
In the movie, one of the Divergents has a fear of heights, facing his abusive childhood dad and the fear of looking someone in the eye when he shoots them dead.
The main character lady, has the fear of being attacked by birds while stuck in quicksand and surrounded by fire, and also fear of drowning in a glass box of water.
The trapped in a glass box of rising water fear is actually pretty insane. I personally would fear that.
Iβve never really known what I fear most. There are some things I cringe at like a slippery toad, or being stuck in a cramp space. But what do I fear?

Death obviously, but what type of death. Dying in my sleep is definitely not a fear.
But maliciously attacked by a nest of scorpions is definitely a fear.
Oh, and the ocean. Oh man, you do not want to be deep in the ocean. No man, I repeat, no man can conquer the ocean. Itβs depths are the scariest thing on earth. I never want to be anywhere near the ocean.
So in Divergent, the characters have to face their fears a couple of times and overcome them. And some had really scary ones. I personally canβt remember my fears since I watched the show.
And saying I canβt remember my fears is by no means a type of toughness; I just havenβt come face to face with my deepest fears yet, to fully acknowledge them.
Most people have their fears as the βcommonβ ones: heights, water, cramp spaces, snakes, darkness etc. Do you have any βspecialβ fear of yours. If you have a few seconds to spare, feel free to hit the <reply> button and let me knowπ.
βπ½Quote of the Week (so far)
Begin at once to live, and count each separate day as a separate life.
πYou might have missed my most popular writingsπ(so far..)
The Gospel according to Bobby Glassπ - Featuring the drug empire of John 'The Gospel' Dixon. This is one of my favorites so farπ. You cannot beat a drug Lord who is backed up by βgodβ. It just canβt be done. Especially when he is a lunatic too, with good literary prowess and a clueless assistant. But this I wrote coz I honestly donβt get how the drug empire makes it stupid amounts of money. Do you?
π§π½ββοΈOne day at a time - βOr if we reach the end of the day and no one has died, no further limbs have broken, a few lines have been written and one or two encouraging and pleasant things have been said, then that is already an achievement worthy of a place at the altar of sanity. How natural and tempting to put oneβs faith in the bountifulness of the years, but how much wiser it might be be to bring all oneβs faculties of appreciation and love to bear on that most modest and most easily-dismissed of increments: the day already in hand.β
How does Lamborghini advertise its cars?ππ - When was the last time you saw a Rolls-Royce ad on the internet..leave alone TV?
Have a wonderful week ahead!
