32 Days of Christmas: Day 13

Wouldn’t it be cool to have an AI assistant like J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System) guiding me through a day like this, making the struggle out of bed feel worthwhile? An intangible assistant reminding me of the week’s little victories, the graduates I congratulated yesterday, and the flowers I sent their way? Something, someone, that doesn’t just handle tasks but reflects the best parts of me back at myself, because I made it (him).

And on tougher days maybe I’d upgrade to F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Female Replacement Intelligent Digital Assistant Youth), to get a more feminine voice in my ear. A more soothing tone. Not because J.A.R.V.I.S. failed, but because we all grow into better systems.

Or when life calls for something more modern, gentle, and companion-like, I’d turn to K.A.R.E.N., not like any Karen you’ll ever meet, but one who understands me and my peers a little too well. Something aligned with who I’m becoming.

And someday, for remembrance, I might want an E.D.I.T.H. (Even Dead I’m The Hero), an AI to leave behind for my kids. A voice reminding them I’m always their hero, whether they admit it or not.

Not just assistants to rely on (or be tempted to fall in love with), but ones to grow from. Ones that would even make finishing this paragraph easier, turning the week’s chaos into something that feels less like loose ends and more like a story with a clear arc.
