32 Days of Christmas: Day 27
Men,
If you received yet another pair of boxers as a Christmas gift, you are fully entitled to throw a tantrum. Because what the hell bana? Can’t these people get a little creative?
My elder sister is a proper gifter. Anytime she visits, even if just for an evening, she comes bearing something thoughtful. For my other sister, it used to be simple jewelry; for my mum, a mug or a framed photo; for our house help, sometimes sugar or flour. She is deliberate and intentional about her gifts.
Unless it’s me.
For me, it’s always the obvious ones—socks or boxers.
Even the friend who recently bought me a jersey decided to switch things up after I told her that men can use gifts beyond socks and boxers. Unfortunately, the lesson landed twelve months too late, so her man now has twelve pairs of boxers—one for each anniversary they’ve marked this year.
I honestly don’t know… when is enough enough?
Anyway, I hope you opened some good presents this time.
